Abril 9th, 2008 Posted in General | No Comments »

The first Mobile Monday Andalucía will take place in Sevilla on April 28th, 2008 and will cover Mobile Innovative Services. The event will focus on mobile innovative services and new technologies such as the Digital Signature or NFC.

Foreword:

Welcome to MoMo Andalusia!

After having spent almost one year analyzing the best ways of launching an open forum for people interested in the entrepreneurial and technological fields in Spain, we eventually got to know the Mobile Monday network. MoMo is a fast growing community which was created during the autumn of 2000 in Helsinki almost by accident. A couple of well-known Finnish visionaries invited the who’s who of the Finnish mobile industry to a pub for an informal get-together. Since the end of 2004, the MoMo phenomenon has spread all over the world becoming a global community organizing gatherings for local visionaries, developers and other influential people in the mobile industry. The local MoMo communities target at fostering cooperation and cross-border business development through virtual and live networking events to share ideas, best practices and trends from global markets.

The idea of becoming part of a global network of people interested in the mobile industry, with which we feel a special affinity due to our academic and professional background, seduced us from the very beginning. This open forum gives the participants the possibility of interacting with local and international industry players. We truly believe that the combination of the global and open nature of the MoMo community with the local flavour of the events organized in different regions of the world is the best approach to pursue our target to promote the entrepreneurial initiatives in the mobile sector in Spain. It is our conviction that the interaction and the exchange of experiences, views and market trends between and within the MoMo local groups is a relevant benefit for the stake holders in the mobile industry in the South of Spain.

MoMo events are hold in Amsterdam, Atlanta, Austin, Bangalore, Bangkok, Barcelona, Beijing, Belfast, Berlin, Boston, Brussels, Chennai, Chicago, Copenhagen, Dallas, Dublin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Geneva, Helsinki, Hong Kong, Hyderabad, Istanbul, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Melbourne, Milan, Monaco, Moscow, Mumbai, Munich, New Delhi, New York, Norway, Paris, Rome, Seattle, Seoul, Shanghai, Silicon Valley, Singapore, St. Petersburg, Sweden, Sydney, Taipei, Tokyo, Toronto, Turku, Ukraine, Washington DC and from the 28th of April also in Seville.

Rafael Selma from TB-Solutions

‘Digital Signature on the mobile phone’

An alternative approach to electronic signature as it is known today is to capitalize on the fact that many citizens already possess a device which contains a smartcard and which itself is effectively a personal card reader, the mobile phone. As one of the most widely-owned electronic devices, the mobile phone represents the natural choice for implementation of a socially-inclusive, electronic signature solution for the majority of citizens.

MSSP platform represents a complete solution to manage recognized digital signature on a mobile phone operator infrastructure, providing with mobile signature services including validation and non repudiation services among others.

The platform has been designed taking ETSI 102 204 as reference. It defines the Mobile Signature Service as a Web Service, and so defines all the processes involved in making a digital signature, like the certificate registration process and signature process.

The main characteristics of MSSP platform are:

  • Advantages derived from the integration with ASF Signature Framework (multi-CSP support, multi-certificate support, non-repudiation service registration database, etc.).
  • Convenience, market penetration and advantages inherent to mobile phones.
  • Based on standards which facilitate integration of Service Providers and CSPs (Certification Services Providers).
  • Advantages inherent to a Service Oriented Architecture.

Agenda:

One of the key aspects of the Mobile Monday concept is the networking. A networking party will follow the conference where participants will enjoy a glass of wine while sharing experiences about life and work.
